A McKinsey & Company study reported that 51% of business activities in the USA can be automated.
UiPath also corroborates this narrative by suggesting that 60% of #manufacturing tasks, and 36% of all #healthcare and social services tasks can be automated. Similarly, UiPath estimates that up to 43% of the activities in #banking and financial services can be reliably automated.
In simple terms, this means most businesses are grossly under-productive, if they have not yet adopted intelligent automation.
This includes even those businesses that already have impressive earnings and profit margins.
In truth, most of the giant multi-billion-dollar corporations use #RPA technology routinely.
Sadly, most of the smaller companies (who need it more) are either not aware of, or not taking advantage of this amazing technology.
So what does this mean to you?
It’s simple.
If you are not using #RPA technology in your business, it is very likely that your workforce is spending valuable time doing things that can be automated, instead of using their creativity to drive organizational growth.
I can tell you that over the last few years, I have used #RPA to generate amazing results in some organizations.
For example, I opened a completely non-existent business unit in one company. The business unit needs no additional staff to operate but generates new and cost-free revenue of $500,000 per annum for the firm.
At the click of a single button, all the business activities that are required to run that new business line are executed by a faithful robot.
In another instance, I completely redesigned an old workflow for a client by questioning the fundamental assumptions. We succeeded in unlocking hidden business value of over $300,000 per annum by simply creating and deploying a robot to onboard incoming clients.
These two instances are a very small illustration of the profound impact #RPA can have on your business.
Sometimes we lose sight of the fact that our employees are our most valuable asset. If we truly value them, they should be freed from mind-numbing tasks to deliver stellar user experiences to your valued customers.
As we all know, a happy customer means a successful and growing business.
But the next question then becomes how can you benefit from #intelligentautomation in your business?
The secret is to take some time to ask yourself:
1. What exactly do my employees spend their time doing?
2. How much of those things can be automated because they are repetitive and/or predictable?
3. Is it possible for me to adjust the current workflow (or way of doing things) to make the workflow more predictable and efficient?
As a business executive, answers to these questions can unlock an incredible amount of hidden value that is currently sitting untapped.
Don’t be left behind. The future is here.
